1. Information We Collect
When you use Grumpy, we collect:
- Account Information: Email, name, and password hash.
- Error Telemetry: Stack traces, error messages, and code context sent by the SDK.
- API Keys: Your OpenAI API key (stored encrypted) and project API keys.
- Webhook URLs: Slack and Discord endpoints you configure.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and analyze error events from your applications.
- To deliver AI-generated error analysis via your notification channels.
- To maintain your dashboard, projects, and account settings.
- To track your bug-free streak for gamification features.
3. Third-Party Services
- OpenAI: Error data is sent using your own API key (BYOK). We don't store responses.
- Slack/Discord: Alerts delivered via webhook URLs you provide.
4. Data Retention
Error events retained for 90 days. Request deletion anytime.
5. Security
All API keys encrypted at rest. TLS 1.3 for all communication. We never store your source code — only contextual snippets surrounding errors.

Access, correct, or delete your data anytime. Contact privacy@grumpy.dev.
Marketing Tone Disclaimer
The Grumpy website, product copy, and AI-generated messages use a deliberately humorous tone for entertainment. This does not reflect hostility. All AI persona responses are configurable via project settings.
